28 years ago today, the Detroit Pistons beat the Denver Nuggets 186-184 in triple overtime, the highest-scoring game in NBA history. The Nuggets’ Kiki Vandeweghe lead all scorers with 51 points and teammate Alex English added 47; Isiah Thomas scored 47 for the Pistons, his career high.
