On this day in 1974, the Philadelphia Flyers defeated the Boston Bruins in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Led by MVP Bernie Parent (above), the Flyers became the first team from the 1967 NHL expansion to win the Stanley Cup (and again the following season).
