Today Homage wishes a happy 48th birthday to B.J. Surhoff, who played catcher, outfield, first and third base, and DH during his 19-year Major League career. An All-Star in 1999, Surhoff also played on the silver medal-winning American baseball team at the 1984 summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
