On August 8th 1976, the Chicago White Sox debuted a new uniform—the top half featured short sleeves and a disco collar while the bottom half were… well, short shorts and high white striped socks. The pale hose thankfully only wore the uniforms once, during the first half of a doubleheader at Comiskey Park against the Kansas City Royals (which the Sox won 5-2, with four steals). After switching back to their regular uniforms, the home team was drubbed 7-1 in the nightcap.
