Today Homage wishes a happy 79th birthday to actor Danny Aiello, who earned an Academy Award nomination for his portrayal of Savatore “Sal” Frangione, owner of Sal’s Famous Pizzeria, in Spike Lee’s 1989 film Do the Right Thing.
